What is Nouveau Burlesque??

Flirting With Burlesque’ – Beginners 8 week course €110
This Beginners course is designed to introduce you to the core Burlesque movements, how to walk and dance in high heels and how to exude confidence and of course, you’ll learn all the fundamentals of burlesque dance! You’ll shimmy, shake, bump, grind, wiggle, jiggle, twirl and swirl your way through the classic burlesque moves. During this 8 week course we will work on the 3 elements of a burlesque routine using long gloves, garter and a cane to bring together a show stopping routine!(props provided)
No experience whatsoever is needed to take the course, it’s perfect for all ages. All levels of skill can be catered to, whether you’re a dancer/actor/performer or have never taken a dance class in your life, either way you will finish the course as a glamorous burlesque dancer.

This course is open to people who have done beginners / have dance experience. This class is constructed for Intermediate level with precise movement and repetitions to build specific to this dance form. Enhance the grace and poise of your movement and expand your musicality. This term we will work on some of the original numbers from the famous Hurley Burley Show!

This course is open to advanced students only. This course will be a performance workshop. All students will work on an individual act and be apart of Le Nouveau Dance Company where we will be working & performing in various different Burlesque numbers that are choreographed especially for the group. This term we will work on ‘Cell Block Tango’ from Chicago.

What to Wear
Wear clothes you feel comfortable in, shorts with tights, leggings or clothes you would take a dance class in. Must be able to see the line of your legs. Bring a comfortable pair of heels. (No platforms or Wedges).
